Colds & Flu

Ferrets are susceptible to the same types of colds and flu virus which infect humans. If anyone in your household has a cold or flu avoid getting the ferret near the sufferer and wash your hands before and after touching the ferret. If your ferrets symptoms last longer than two or three days, if the appetite is poor or other symptoms surface, a visit to the veterinarian is in order.
