Hair Loss

The loss of hair on a ferrets tail may range from slight to complete baldness with accompanying black spots which are plugged hair follicles. Whilst this problem usually corrects itself it is best to consult your veterinarian to be sure this is not due to a disease or nutritional deficiency.

If there are bald patches on any other areas of the body your ferret may have adrenal gland disease. Be sure to have immediate medical attention from your vetrinarian for this problem.
